God Knows

One big statement: Before the worries of the world weigh you down, remember that your Heavenly Father knows your needs. Scripture:

So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

Matthew 6:31-32

To think ahead is a good thing. But unguarded thinking might lead to worrying. Due to the fact that we are not very sure if we will do good tomorrow, if we will have enough, if the provision that we need will come, we worry that it won’t.

But it’s liberating to learn that while we don’t know from whom or where will our breakthrough come, God knows our needs and He eagerly desires to bless and provide our needs. Jesus even used the birds and the flowers as examples of God’s care. At the end of it, He asked, “…are you not much more valuable than they?” We are God’s children, He’s our good Father.

As we enter this new month, keep this in mind: Before the worries of the world weigh you down, remember that your Heavenly Father knows your needs. Don’t let worry make you forget that God has got this!
