Keep On Marching

Our journey for this new decade has begun. After the excitement of the new year has died down, may you find the courage and motivation to keep on marching and staying in God’s will for you. May we be like the Israelites who continued marching around the walls of Jericho and waited as it collapsed as God told them. God is faithful, and God is with you, mighty warrior. So, advance and keep on marching!
Joshua 6:1-21

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Psalms 90:12 NIV

Overwhelming. That’s what life feels at times. There are pressures to meet the deadline, pass the exam, pay the bills, take care of relationships, and climb the ladder of success. There are moments when we feel like we’re running out of time, and sometimes, it seems that there’s no need to hurry after all. Emotions can sometimes overpower our minds and blur our vision of what God has for us. They can lead us either into running ahead of God’s timing or lag behind it. But when life gets overwhelming, it’s okay to pause and ask God to clear your mind, to speak to you, and guide you.

Moses, in his psalm, asked God to remind us that our days here on earth are numbered. Understanding that God has set a timeline for each of us will help us know our own pace without the pressure of other’s success. In walking together with God, inquiring His timing, and asking Him, we will receive wisdom on how to live our lives, short or long, at it’s fullest.

If we are to be overwhelmed by anything, I hope that it won’t be the pressures of this life. Open your eyes to God’s love, and sovereign power, and be overwhelmed by how great is our God.
